Help us complete the 'Heart of Hope' project!

28. Jun needs the help of the public to complete the 'Heart of Hope' project we have started with the Serbian Orthodox Church. The goal is to send aid to Serbian monasteries and the orphanages, shelters and food kitchens in Serbia, Republika Srpska, Montenegro, Krajina and Kosovo. We have already made successful deliveries to Serbia, Republika Srpska and Montenegro and hope to complete the project by Serbian Christmas with final deliveries to Kosovo and Krajina. We are seeking monetary donations to pay for the transport of aid and material donations only in the Toronto area. If you're interested in helping or to find out more please visit www.28jun.org or email 28jun.org@gmail.com

28. Jun Delivers 25 tons of Aid to Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro

28. Jun is proud to announce the successful delivery and distribution of 25 tons of aid to Serbs in need in Montenegro. The help was received by the Serbian Orthodox Church this week as part of the 'Heart of Hope' project in which 28. Jun is sending aid to Orthodox monasteries all over the Balkans. The humanitarian aid was delivered to soup kitchens in Podgorica and Cetinje, the Red Cross in Pljevlja, and to Church communities in Berane, Andrejevica, Kolasin and Zabljak Mojkovac, as well as a small portion to the Children's Hospital in Podgorica.

The Berane-born Vice President of 28. Jun, Milo Dubak, spearheaded the Montenegrin portion of the project. He stated: "For the second time in two years I want to personally thank Djakon Miomir Vulevic and the Serbian Orthodox Church on working directly with us every step of the way to ensure that the aid was properly received and distributed to the people in need throughout the 8 cities in Montenegro! They have once again demonstrated 'where there is a will, there is a way' when it comes to helping our people. I have reassured them that this is a long term relationship between our organization and the Serbian Orthodox Church and we will be looking forward to visiting the centers we have helped in the near future!"

The Montenegro delivery comes 2 weeks after 28. Jun together with the Serbian Orthodox Church in Germany delivered aid to Doboj, Republika Srpska and 6 weeks after the humanitarian organization delivered aid to the Sv. Petka monastery in Serbia. Two more shipments are planned to Serbian Churches in Kosovo and Croatia before the project wraps up. To learn more or to join the initiative please visit www.28jun.org
